在荷兰传统故事中，圣诞老人的助手Black Peter accompanies him on his journey, bringing a large book that records the behavior of all Dutch children over the past year. Good children receive gifts, while naughty ones are taken away by Black Peter.

Children have always been curious about where Santa Claus resides and when they will receive their presents. The answer is often that he lives at the North Pole, where his workshop produces Christmas gifts. In 1927, a Finnish radio host named Markus Rautio first revealed that Santa's home was in Lapland's Korvatunturi.

Located in eastern Finland near the border, Korvatunturi features an ear-shaped rock formation resembling rabbit ears - actually the ears of Santa Claus himself, listening to children's wishes. Scandinavian folklore tells tales of Santa and his helper elves' adventures.

By the end of the last century, various stories about Santa Claus from around the Northern Hemisphere had coalesced into one version: a jolly old man who delivers gifts to children before returning to Finland's Lapland at Kornatunturi.

In 1950s onwards, Santa joyfully resided in Napapiiri not only during Christmas but also communicated with kids and young people regularly. More people began visiting Santa regularly until he established his own workshop daily receiving letters from children worldwide as part of Saint Nicholas Village - his primary post office for handling correspondence between kids and himself throughout every corner of our world.
